this is the kind of armor designs and detail in rendering that make GW2 stand above all other games. this is more of how i invisoned how the Primevile armor would be like for ranger and dervish. i am loving the half face plate.
your rendering with that thin leather wing type texture, with the underlaced boning is done perfectly. i really hope this gets full approval ( or hope it already has) since i would love to see this in motion.
you dont know if they are going to be doing any kind of independent movement mechanics with the armors do you?
i would love to see the different "weights" in armor shown in movement.
To be perfectly honest, it's unlikely the armor will look this good in the game itself. I may have used the original high resolution texture just to show off my art, but what's used in the game may be a quarter of the size (or even less depending on your video settings).
I've seen screenshots of this armor in the betas so I'm pretty sure it's already in the game.
If by independent moving mechanics you mean overlapping animation then there is some of that. It's not a lot, but certain pieces like shoulder armor are usually animated independently. However, all the armor pieces in the game have to work with the same sets of animations so you won't find much in the way of animation that's customized per armor set.
I've not worked there for over a year now so there could have been some changes, but I doubt it. It's just the nature of MMOs and the sheer quantity of work to juggle.

I'm glad you like it though!
