These are some of the medium armor sets I built for Guild Wars 2. Colored using the game's armor dye system. Accurate as of March 2011.

For those wondering the top sets are the Human Cultural Tier 2 Falconer's set, bottom left is Bloodsaw I believe, and bottom right is the Studded set.

Hope that helps :)

Awesome, thanks for the info! :)  It's sad how I don't know the final armor names in game even though I worked on these.

The Beetlun coat.. I love that coat (lower left), also where do you get the top right one? these are amazing, I never though someone could make studded armor look good!

The armor sets on top were designed to be Seraph armor. Sorry, I don't know what they're called in the game, and I don't know how they can be obtained... I'm glad you like them though! :)

I haven't played the final version of the game myself so I'm not sure, but I did a quick search: [link]

If you click the "show spoiler" link, you'll find that those armors are the Tier 2 Human racial armors so if you're playing another race it might not be available for you. It kind of makes sense because, if I recall, the Seraph are a human organization in GW2.

why does the top right one remind me of the storm cloak armor from skyrim? Epic armor mate.

Heh, I dunno- I'm pretty sure I designed that long before Skyrim was released. :D

Well, in GW2 all of these can worn by rangers because they're considered "medium" class armor. There were a few armor sets here and there that we designed as tribute to the old professions visually, but there are no armor sets that are restricted to any single profession (or at least that was the philosophy before I left the company).

It should be one of the higher level armors for classes that wear medium armor... unless they've changed/removed it since I stopped working there.

They're all great but the top row one is particularly gorgeous. When I roll my ranger, that's what I'm seeking out.

Any possibility with some armor sets with bandanas on the head?

I think there are a few things in the game that are like bandanas. I haven't worked there for nearly a year now so it's hard to say, but you'll probably find something that works for that purpose.

It depends. Armors, by themselves can be anywhere from 2k and up. Some are WAY more than that. Typically, I tried to stay under 3-4k.

Were they modeled in 3ds max or maya? Looks fabulous. But I'm looking for the best modeling program to learn. Though I have a free copy of Modo, I think I should just learn that but there are hardly any tutorials on it.

These were made in Maya, with the high res source meshes created in Zbrush. My honest opinion is to go with Maya or Max as they are industry standards. You can use whatever you like, but if you go pro then eventually you're probably going to end up using Maya or Max whether you want to or not.
